Our History

In 2014, founder, Tim Virgilio, felt called to a purpose. Burdened for the plight of homeless veterans and conscious of the struggles faced by those with service-inflicted disabilities, he knew he needed to do something.  

A lifelong baseball fan and autograph collector, as well as someone with a deep respect for the military and an appreciation of our country's military veterans, he turned to what he knew.

What started as a labor of love, Tim reach out to baseball players to see if they would be willing to sign baseball cards he had collected through the years, promising to give 100% of the sale proceeds to help homeless and disabled veterans.

The next step was to find a worthwhile organization to contribute to, where the money would do the most good. For the last several years Military Missions in Action was that organization with Signatures for Soldiers having donated over $140,000 to help veterans in need.

In late 2021, Tim's partner at Military Missions in Action tragically passed away. Committed to carrying on the mission that Mike and he had, Signatures for Soldiers became its own nonprofit charity in early 2022. Today, the mission continues.
